Ciao and welcome to Inevitaly! It's a fresh start and I'm here to personally give you a warm welcome. I’m Marco Danesi, Creative Director and Founder, and I'm thrilled to have you here. Thank you for taking the time to read and watch our work, and for being a part of our community.
Inevitaly ('a fresh take on all things Italian') for me is the culmination of a long journey of self-expression, growth, and transformation. Some of you may know me from my previous YouTube channel, 'Marco in a BOX', where I learned to play with my creativity, discover a comedic side I didn't know I had, and explore my relationship with Italy. Back then, I could have never imagined my videos were going to be watched more than 11 million times, or that my husband Alan and I would get recognized around the world.
But while ‘Marco in a BOX’ served me well, as a personal channel it eventually started to become a bit of a potpourri of diverse topics. I found it harder to communicate what was relevant to what people were looking for, between fun and informative resources about Italy, to personal updates and musings. So it was time for some spring cleaning!
That's why I decided to create Inevitaly*, a YouTube channel and web magazine 100% focused on all things Italian which was always the most popular unifying theme. It’s not just about language and food, but also travel, culture, and lifestyle. I want to share with you the gifts of Italy. Because it's not just a passport! Anyone can learn and appreciate the joys of the Italian way of living: good food, good sounds, good places, good people.
To mark this new beginning, I created a short movie that celebrates the past and looks to the future. It's a symbolic rite of passage that represents my growth and transformation. Inevitaly is the next chapter in my journey, and I'm excited to have you with me.
So join me in wishing farewell to the ‘previous me’ at this metaphorical funeral, while welcoming an exciting new venture! With renewed dedication, I’m more motivated than ever to save the world from Italian mispronunciations, creamy carbonaras, bad fashion choices and stressful lifestyles 😉
I'm also happy to announce the launch of a second channel, FLOwithMarco (FLO as in "Figuring Life Out"), where I'll continue to share personal stories, insights, and advice on life, relationships, freelancing, and travel.
